Interaction to Next Paint (INP)

Interaction to Next Paint (INP) measures responsiveness: how long a page takes to visually react after a user clicks, taps, or presses a key, judged by roughly the slowest interaction of the visit. It replaced First Input Delay as a Core Web Vital in March 2024. Good is under 200 milliseconds at the 75th percentile; long JavaScript tasks blocking the main thread are the usual cause.
