GPTBot

GPTBot is OpenAI's crawler that collects web content for training future models. It honors robots.txt and crawls from published IP ranges you can verify. Blocking GPTBot opts your content out of training but does not remove you from ChatGPT's search answers — those rely on OAI-SearchBot, a separate crawler. Many sites therefore block GPTBot while allowing OAI-SearchBot to keep citation visibility in ChatGPT.
