OAI-SearchBot

OAI-SearchBot is OpenAI's crawler that builds the index behind ChatGPT search. Allowing it in robots.txt is a precondition for your pages being linked and cited in ChatGPT answers. It is separate from GPTBot (model training) and ChatGPT-User (live fetches triggered by a user's question). OpenAI publishes IP ranges for each agent, so log traffic claiming to be OAI-SearchBot can be verified.
