JSON-LD

JSON-LD (JSON for Linked Data) is Google's recommended format for structured data: a script block of type application/ld+json containing a JSON object that describes the page in schema.org vocabulary. Because it lives apart from the visible HTML, it is easier to generate, validate, and maintain than microdata or RDFa, and it can be injected by tag managers or templates without touching page markup.
