SERP Snippet

A SERP snippet is your page's individual listing in search results: the title link, URL or breadcrumb, and description text. Google builds it from your title tag, meta description, and page content — and rewrites it freely; meta descriptions in particular are often replaced. Display space is truncated by pixel width, not character count, which is why snippet preview tools render titles at real widths.
