Share of Voice (SOV)

Share of voice (SOV) in AI search is your brand's mentions divided by all brand mentions across a tracked prompt set, multiplied by 100. It answers: of every brand the engines name in your category, what fraction is you? Because results differ strongly between engines and answers are stochastic, SOV should be reported per engine, averaged over repeated runs, and read as a trend rather than a single number.
