Citation Rate

Citation rate is the percentage of sampled AI answers that use your domain's URLs as a source. A citation is distinct from a mention: an engine can link your page without naming your brand, or name the brand without linking you. Citations are extractable from engines' source lists and annotations. A useful nuance: being listed as a source differs from actually shaping the answer text, sometimes called citation absorption.
